  • 1.MyHomeMyHero gives you AI-powered guidance, not certified professional advice. You use it at your own risk and verify any safety-critical advice with a qualified pro.
  • 2.You own everything you upload. We use it only to provide our service to you.
  • 3.Be 18+, US-based, and don't abuse the service. Pay your subscription if you have one.

The full terms below are the binding legal agreement. Please read them.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding legal agreement between you and VeritasLogic LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company that owns and operates MyHomeMyHero ("MyHomeMyHero," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using myhomemyhero.com or any of our services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old and reside in the United States. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. We reserve the right to deny access to any user we reasonably believe does not meet them.

3. Your account

When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You may not share your account with others or create an account on behalf of another person without that person's consent. You are responsible for the actions of anyone who accesses the Service through your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to do any of the following while using the Service:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, or our underlying systems.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code or data of the Service, except as expressly permitted by law.
  • Use bots, scripts, automated systems, or other unauthorized means to access or interact with the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by submitting malware, denial-of-service attempts, or excessive automated requests.
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits, paywalls, or security mechanisms.
  • Submit content or queries designed to manipulate, jailbreak, or extract harmful, illegal, or abusive output from our AI features.
  • Submit information that is fraudulent, defamatory, or that infringes the rights of others.
  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm any person.
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or any content generated by it without our written permission.

5. AI-powered guidance disclaimer

This is important. Please read carefully.

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate maintenance recommendations, schedules, instructions, and other guidance based on the information you provide. The AI may produce information that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your specific situation.

Maintenance advice is generated automatically and is not reviewed by licensed professionals. You use the Service at your own risk. You are solely responsible for verifying any AI-generated advice with qualified contractors, electricians, plumbers, structural engineers, or other licensed professionals before taking action — particularly for safety-critical tasks involving electrical work, gas appliances, structural elements, plumbing, roofing, heights, or anything that could cause injury or property damage.

MyHomeMyHero does not provide professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to engineering, construction, legal, financial, insurance, real estate, or medical advice. Nothing the AI says should be treated as a substitute for consultation with a qualified professional.

6. The Find a Pro feature

Our "Find a Pro" feature surfaces local contractor information using publicly available data from Google Maps. We do not endorse, vet, certify, or guarantee any contractor surfaced through this feature. We do not have a financial relationship with any contractor and we do not receive referral fees, kickbacks, or commissions of any kind.

You are solely responsible for performing your own due diligence before hiring any contractor, including verifying licensure, insurance, references, and the quality of their work. We are not responsible for any work performed by contractors you find through the Service or for any disputes between you and a contractor.

7. Your content

You retain full ownership of all content you upload, submit, or generate through the Service, including your home information, Vault documents (manuals, receipts, warranties, etc.), chat messages, custom maintenance notes, and tasks (collectively, "User Content").

By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, transmit, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This license includes sending necessary portions of your User Content to our service providers (such as OpenAI, as described in our Privacy Policy) to deliver the AI features of the Service.

We do not use your User Content for marketing, sell it, share it with third parties for their own purposes, or use it to train AI models for use by other companies. You can delete your User Content at any time, and we will delete it from our active systems as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Feedback

If you send us suggestions, ideas, feature requests, or other feedback about the Service ("Feedback"), you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that Feedback for any purpose, without obligation or compensation to you. We are not required to keep Feedback confidential.

9. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

Free tier and trial

The Service has a free tier that includes limited features. New accounts may include a complimentary trial period of full Pro access. The trial automatically ends after the stated period, and your account reverts to the free tier unless you upgrade to a paid plan.

Paid subscriptions

Paid subscriptions ("Pro") are offered on a monthly or annual basis at the prices listed on our pricing page. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled. You authorize us, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your payment method for each renewal.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. When you cancel:

  • Monthly subscribers: Your Pro access continues until the end of the current paid month, after which your account reverts to the free tier. You will not be charged again.
  • Annual subscribers: Your Pro access continues until the end of the current paid year, after which your account reverts to the free tier. You will not be charged again.

No refunds

All payments are non-refundable. We do not offer refunds, prorated or otherwise, for unused portions of any subscription period, whether monthly or annual. By subscribing, you acknowledge that you have evaluated the Service through our free tier and any trial period before committing to a paid plan.

Price changes

We may change subscription prices from time to time. If we change the price of your existing subscription, we will give you at least 30 days' advance notice by email. The new price will apply to the next renewal after the notice period. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before the new price takes effect.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we may suspend Pro features until the payment is resolved. If the payment is not resolved within a reasonable time, we may cancel your subscription and downgrade your account to the free tier.

10. Email communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets, billing receipts, security notifications) and product communications (weekly tips, feature updates, and our newsletter). You can unsubscribe from product communications at any time using the link in any such email; transactional emails will continue as required to operate your account.

11. Termination

By you

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. To delete your account, email us at [email protected] from the email address associated with your account. Upon verified deletion request, we will delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

By us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have:

  • Violated these Terms or our acceptable use rules.
  • Engaged in fraud, including chargeback abuse or attempted fraud against our payment processor.
  • Failed to pay subscription fees that are due.
  • Misused the Service in a way that harms us or other users.
  • Violated applicable law.

If we terminate your account for any of the reasons listed above ("termination for cause"), you are not entitled to a refund of any subscription fees paid. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute resolution, and intellectual property provisions — will continue to apply.

12. Intellectual property

The Service, including all software, design, text, graphics, logos, and content (other than User Content) is owned by VeritasLogic LLC or its licensors and is protected by US and international intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works of the Service or its content, or use any branding, trademarks, or logos of MyHomeMyHero or VeritasLogic LLC without our prior written permission.

13. Disclaimers and warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, and uninterrupted availability.

Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that:

  • The Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations.
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
  • The AI-generated guidance will be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for any particular purpose.
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected.
  • Contractors surfaced through the Find a Pro feature are licensed, insured, competent, or trustworthy.

You use the Service at your own risk.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, in no event will VeritasLogic LLC, its officers, owners, employees, or affiliates be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business, or property damage.
  • Damages arising from your reliance on AI-generated advice or guidance.
  • Damages arising from work performed by any contractor you find through the Service.
  • Damages arising from unauthorized access to your account or User Content, except where caused by our gross negligence.
  • Damages arising from interruptions, errors, or security issues with the Service.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. If these laws apply to you, some or all of the exclusions and limitations above may not apply, and you may have additional rights.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VeritasLogic LLC and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Service.
  • Your User Content.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
  • Your reliance on AI-generated advice or your interactions with contractors.

16. Dispute resolution and arbitration

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights.

Informal resolution first

Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to first contact us at [email protected]and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We'll do the same with you. Most disputes can be resolved this way.

Binding arbitration

If we can't resolve a dispute informally within 60 days, you and VeritasLogic LLC agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service (a "Dispute") will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court.

The arbitration will be conducted in English, in New Jersey or via video conference at your option. The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding. Each party will bear its own costs and attorneys' fees, except where the arbitrator awards otherwise under the AAA rules or applicable law.

Small claims carve-out

Notwithstanding the arbitration agreement above, you may bring an individual action against us in small claims court in your local jurisdiction, provided the claim qualifies under that court's rules and is not aggregated with claims of other users.

No class actions

You and VeritasLogic LLC each agree that any Dispute will be resolved only on an individual basis, not as part of a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding. You waive any right to participate in a class action against us.

30-day opt-out

You may opt out of the arbitration agreement and class action waiver by emailing us at [email protected]within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, with your name, email address, and the words "Arbitration Opt-Out." If you opt out, neither you nor we will be bound by the arbitration provisions, and disputes will be resolved in court as described in Section 17.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. For any Dispute not subject to arbitration (or where you have opted out of arbitration), you and VeritasLogic LLC agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New Jersey.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will take effect 30 days after notice is given. Non-material changes (such as clarifications or typo corrections) take effect immediately.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

19. Miscellaneous

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and VeritasLogic LLC regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it later.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms to any affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms do not create any rights for any person who is not a party to them.

Notices. We may give you notice by email at the address associated with your account, by posting a notice in the Service, or by posting a notice on our website. You may give us notice by email at [email protected].
